报告摘要：In this talk we present some sufficient conditions for total positivity of Riordan arrays and recursive matrices. Many interesting combinatorial triangles, for example, the Catalan triangles of Aigner and Shapiro, the Bell triangle, the ballot table, the Stirling triangle of the second kind, the large and little Schroeder triangles, are shown to be totally positive matrices, just like the Pascal triangle. We also show the log-convexity of many well-known combinatorial sequences in a unified approach, including the Catalan numbers, the Motzkin numbers, the Bell numbers, the central binomial coefficients, the large and little Schroeder numbers.
王毅教授简介：
大连理工大学数学科学学院教授、博士生导师、数学一级学科博士点点长。1979年考入大连工学院应用数学系，后师从徐利治先生获博士学位，研究方向为组合数学。主要研究兴趣包括组合恒等式与不等式、偏序集上的组合极值理论、图论和组合数论。在组合序列的单峰型问题研究和极值集合论的研究中做出了一些有影响的工作，多项研究成果以定理形式出现在国外多部专著中。
